Rosie Pupdate #2: Impulse control training and a new toy!

Hello friends—it’s Rosie, popping in with some tail wags and exciting updates from my latest adventures! 💛

I’ve had such an exciting couple of weeks since I last wrote to you, and I can’t wait to share all about it. My trainers say I’m learning so much every day, and I really feel proud of how far I’ve come.

Recently, I got to go to the park, and oh boy—there were so many things to see! The pond had geese swimming around, and let me tell you, it took a lot of focus not to chase after them. I practiced my impulse control (that means keeping calm and making good choices), and my trainers said I did a wonderful job.

I also saw some of my doggy friends at the park, which was very exciting! Even though I really wanted to go play, I practiced keeping my attention on my trainer instead. That’s an important skill I’ll need so I can always be there for my warrior, no matter what distractions are around.

Oh—and guess what? I got a brand-new tennis ball!  I think it might be the best thing ever! It’s so much fun to play with during my downtime, and it helps me get out all my extra puppy energy so I can focus even better during training time.

Every day I’m getting closer to being the very best service dog I can be. I’m learning to be calm, patient, and focused so I can give my future warrior comfort, confidence, and unconditional love. Thank you for cheering me on and supporting me through this journey—it means so much to me.

Sending you happy tail wags and lots of puppy love,

Rosie
