Adobe PDF is a universal file format that preserves all of the fonts, formatting, colors, and graphics of any source document, regardless of the application and platform used to create it. Adobe PDF files are compact and can be shared, viewed, navigated, and printed exactly as intended by anyone with a free Adobe Acrobat® Reader™. PDF files always display exactly as created, regardless of fonts, software, and operating systems and print correctly on virtually all printing devices. Compact Adobe PDF files are smaller than their source files, download a page at a time for fast display on the Web, and don't slow down your network. Readers who use "Internet Explorer" or "Netscape Navigator" browsers older than version 3 may experience unpredictable results and for this reason we recommend Microsoft's "Internet Explorer" version 5 or later for best results, http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.htm Downloading & Printing PDF files Most PDF files on this site are available for either download or viewing. If you wish to save a PDF file to your PC, click the Save button (floppy disk icon) on the Acrobat Reader tool bar and when the "Save As" dialog box appears, type a file name and select a location where you would like to save the PDF file. To print a copy of the document, click the Printer button on the Acrobat Reader tool bar. Reading & Navigating Service Sheets While navigating through the Product Information Service Sheets, clicking anywhere on the page will return you to the index page. PDF document types On this web site, PDF files can be in 3 styles: Large files such as catalogs or books and guides are usually downloaded to your computer after you click on the file. (If this does not happen automatically, right-click on the title, and select "Save Target As"). Once downloaded, they can be opened and read with the Acrobat Reader. Medium sized PDF files are opened automatically once their title is clicked. The PDF Reader opens automatically from your computer (if installed) and you can begin reading and navigating the document while the internet connection remains open. Alternatively, if you wish to download the document and read it off-line, right-click on the title, and select "Save Target As". Choose a location on your computer and click save. Smaller PDF documents, usually about one or two pages in size, are sometimes embedded in the web page and can be read shortly after the page is opened. Embedded PDF files require the latest browsers which use the PDF Plug-in, to work properly. If you try opening these files with older browsers, you may be asked to download the file. Note: some browsers have the PDF plug-in but it may not be configured. To configure your browser with the plug-in, go to the help section of the browser. Alternatively, as in the previous cases, if you wish to download the document and read it off-line, right-click on the title, and select "Save Target As".
